    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1954 Sinclair road map of Utah, printed more than 68 years ago.
    The map opens to 18" x 29" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally. There's an inset plan of Zion National Park in the lower corner.
    On the reverse side there are maps of Salt Lake City and central Utah, with a list of golf courses, airports, and points of interest.
    The map was distributed by the Sinclair Oil Company in 1954 and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 4-5177-3. Population data is from the 1950 census.
    Printed text on the back cover promotes Sinclair's Auto Tour Service, and the code in the lower corner is 54A.
