The ship's godmother Katherine Louise Calder is a “real” godmother
who was selected by popular vote through a TV show,
she is a
Portland, Oregon
foster care
provider who has taken in over 400 kids through the years.
The
Freedom
has a capacity for 4515 guest in 1891 total staterooms and carries 1360 crew.
She made her maiden voyage on May 11, 2006.
