    W.W.II U.S.M.C. PITH HELMET "HAWLEY - IDENTIFIED
    The helmet is in fine condition. The exterior of the helmet has darkened age wear on the front brim due to a leather strap which is missing. The interior is very fine and is marked "HAWLEY" with other manufacturer markings (see pictures).  The helmet is identified to "T. A. LEARY".
