    Description

Nice World War II USMC enlisted service hat, complete with the correct eagle, globe and anchor emblem, chinstrap, and sweatband. This hat was standard issue throughout the war, and has become one of the most iconic components of the USMC uniform. The visor and chinstrap have taken on a black color, with a green underside on the visor.
The hat remains in fair condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Typical of a hat that has spent decades in a Pennsylvania attic, this hat shows some drying to the leather components and has a few moth holes. A couple areas of weak stitching on the sweatband. Back portion of the cover needs to be adjusted in order to fasten the cover to the frame. Generally, a somewhat salty hat that was actually issued and used. Still displays nicely.
