    Description

    WWII U.S. Military M1 Steel Helmet, McCord Front Seam.  Nice example of original WWII issue front seam, swivel loop, non-stainless rim M1 helmet by McCord.  Has Vietnam Era repaint in apple green.  Has virtually all the original cork finish intact with the usual stacking scrapes.  Heat lot number very hard to make out.  Front seam with manganese rim would make it a fall of 1944 production helmet.  Chin straps missing as shown.  Nice easy restoration project.  VG-VG++
